Dr. Zevon's surgical suite is accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities, Inc. ("AAAASF") at the highest level for outpatient surgery.

AAAASF is an organization dedicated to assuring high standards for ambulatory surgery facilities and assuring quality care in office-based surgery. An accredited facility must meet high safety standards in the operating room and throughout the office. All plastic surgeons certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery must operate only in accredited facilities, such as Dr. Zevon's surgical suite. The surgical suite is regularly inspected and peer-reviewed. Dr. Zevon is a trained AAAASF-inspector for other plastic surgery facilities.

Architect-designed and built to specification for AAAASF credentialing, Dr. Zevon's surgical suite meets or exceeds AAAASF operating room construction codes governing size, construction materials, floor plan and air circulation. The surgical suite contains a spacious operating room, fully equipped recovery room, nurses' station and surgical supply storage and instrument sterilization room, and a closed circuit television monitoring system.

Dr. Zevon's surgical suite is certified for the administration of the highest level of surgical anesthesia. Only board-certified M.D. anesthesiologists are employed. For AAAASF accreditation, the surgical suite and its staff must meet strict standards for safety, sterility and infection control, and personnel credentials. All medical professionals working with Dr. Zevon are licensed by New York State and must attend regular annual safety training sessions.

Dr. Zevon's surgical suite features the latest equipment for patient monitoring and safety. All equipment in the surgical suite is regularly inspected by independent experts and monitored for compliance with AAAASF standards.
