Recovery Time

INITIAL: 1 - 2 weeks for the resolution of pain. Contour improvement will begin to appear at 2 weeks.

SUBSTANTIAL: Swelling and numbness will gradually subside within 1 to 3 months. Expect to see 75% of the contour improvement in 2 months, and the balance in 3 months.

FINAL: Occasional abdominoplasty patients may see subtle contour improvement up to 6 months after surgery.
