Breast Augmentation

There are many reasons women have for wanting a breast augmentation. Breast augmentation, surgically known as augmentation mammaplasty, is a surgical procedure used to enhance the size and shape of a woman's breast. One of the reasons women might choose to have this procedure is to enhance their body contour because, maybe for personal reasons, they feel that their breast size is too small. They could also want to correct a reduction in breast volume after pregnancy or possibly balance a difference in breast size. Another reason might be as a reconstructive technique following breast surgery. Well for any reason, breast augmentation is available for those women in New York that want it.

At our practice in New York, Dr. Zevon will perform breast augmentation by inserting the breast implant behind the breast tissue or underneath your chest wall muscle through an incision. The incision can be made in the inframammary crease (the crease where the bottom of the breast meets the ribcage), around the nipple (areola), or via the armpit (known as the transaxillary approach). The choice of incision for breast implant insertion will depend on patient anatomy and patient preference.
